Food Safety Workshop Announced
Food Safety Direct will provided a 2-hour workshop on implementing an “active food safety management system” and new Texas Food Establisment Rules (TEFR) that may impact your operation. The workshop is scheduled for June 15th, 2016, at a location to be announced. The purpose of the workshop is to assist independent restaurants and smaller “Mom and Pop” operations in implementing an "active food safety management system."
Attendees will also be briefed on new changes to the Texas State Food Service Establishment Rules (TEFR). Food service establishments are required to have written policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) in place as part of their overall “active food safety management system” in the near future.
